Free Zubaz, For Those In Dire Need Of Pants. On August 3rd, the Detroit Tigers are going to hand out a free pair of Zubaz to every fan in attendance, many of whom I’m sure will wear them without a trace of irony. I grew up in the Midwest during the height of the Zubaz craze (I owned two pairs myself), and I really have no explanation for it. None. They seemed cool to me at the time. How that’s possible is something I’ll have to ask St. Peter.
